Terms of Service
Last updated: September 20, 2026
Welcome to MEWSWELL.
These Terms of Service govern your use of mewswell.store, your interaction with our online store, and purchases made from MEWSWELL.
By visiting our website, creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits or removes any mandatory rights that apply to you under Swedish, European Union, or other applicable consumer-protection law.
1. About MEWSWELL
MEWSWELL operates an online store offering cat furniture, indoor-cat enrichment products, toys, scratching products, resting products, feeding enrichment, and related goods.
Website: mewswell.store
Email: felix@mayer.se
The store is powered by Shopify. We may also use third-party service providers for payment processing, fulfilment, shipping, customer support, reviews, analytics, translation, and other ecommerce functions.
2. Eligibility to purchase
You must have legal capacity to enter into a binding purchase agreement.
If you are under the age required to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction, an order must be placed by or with the approval of a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for ensuring that information provided during checkout is accurate and complete.
3. Product information
We aim to provide accurate and useful information about our products, including:
-
product descriptions;
-
materials;
-
measurements;
-
available variants;
-
colours;
-
product images;
-
prices;
-
availability;
-
installation or use information where applicable.
Because products may be supplied by third-party manufacturers and fulfilment partners, minor differences may occur in packaging, appearance, colour tone, or manufacturing details.
Such differences do not affect your statutory rights if a product is faulty, materially different from its description, or otherwise does not conform to the purchase agreement.
4. Product images and colours
We make reasonable efforts to display product colours and details accurately.
However, the appearance of colours can vary depending on your screen, device, brightness settings, and manufacturing variation.
Images may include styling or environmental elements that are not included with the purchased product unless clearly stated otherwise.
5. Prices
Prices are displayed in the currency presented by the store.
The final amount payable will be shown during checkout before you submit your order.
Where required, applicable taxes, shipping charges, duties, discounts, or other charges will be shown before the purchase is completed.
MEWSWELL may change product prices at any time for future orders.
Price changes do not normally affect an order that has already been accepted.
6. Obvious errors
We aim to keep product and pricing information accurate.
If a clear technical, typographical, or pricing error occurs, we may correct it.
If an error affects an order that has already been submitted, we will contact you where appropriate and handle the situation in accordance with applicable law.
We will not use this provision to avoid a binding consumer obligation where applicable law requires us to honour it.
7. Placing an order
When you submit an order, you are offering to purchase the selected goods under these Terms.
After placing an order, you may receive an automated confirmation that we have received your order.
Where applicable law distinguishes between receipt of an order and acceptance of an order, the purchase agreement becomes binding when the order is accepted in accordance with applicable law.
8. Order acceptance and cancellation
We may refuse or cancel an order where permitted by law, including where:
-
payment cannot be authorised;
-
a product is unavailable;
-
the order appears fraudulent;
-
incorrect customer information prevents fulfilment;
-
a clear technical or pricing error has occurred;
-
fulfilment is not available to the selected destination.
If an order is cancelled after payment has been captured, the applicable amount will be refunded.
9. Payment
Available payment methods are shown during checkout.
Payments may be processed by Shopify or other authorised payment-service providers.
MEWSWELL does not necessarily receive or store your full payment-card information.
You are responsible for ensuring that the payment method used is valid and that you are authorised to use it.
10. Shipping
Shipping is governed by our separate Shipping Policy.
Products may be fulfilled by third-party logistics and fulfilment partners.
Depending on product availability and fulfilment location:
-
products may ship from different warehouses;
-
different products in the same order may arrive separately;
-
parcels may use different carriers;
-
international shipping may be involved.
Shipping estimates are estimates unless a specific delivery time has been expressly agreed.
11. Delivery
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
If you discover an address error after placing an order, contact us as soon as possible.
We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once fulfilment has begun.
Where mandatory delivery rules apply, those rules take precedence over these Terms.
12. Risk and ownership
Risk of loss or damage to goods transfers in accordance with applicable law.
For consumer purchases covered by EU or Swedish consumer law, risk generally does not transfer merely because the goods have been handed to the carrier where the carrier was arranged by the seller.
13. Right of withdrawal
Consumers purchasing online may have a statutory right of withdrawal.
For consumers covered by Swedish distance-contract rules, the standard withdrawal period is generally 14 days.
Full details are set out in our Refund & Returns Policy.
Nothing in these Terms reduces a statutory withdrawal right.
14. Returns
Before returning an item, contact MEWSWELL for return instructions.
Do not automatically send an item to:
-
a supplier;
-
a warehouse;
-
a fulfilment centre;
-
the general business address;
unless MEWSWELL has specifically provided that address for the return.
Return routing may differ depending on the item and fulfilment location.
15. Faulty, damaged, or incorrect products
If a product:
-
arrives damaged;
-
is materially different from its description;
-
is the wrong item;
-
is missing an essential component;
-
has an original defect;
contact MEWSWELL with your order details and relevant evidence, such as photographs where appropriate.
Your statutory remedies may include, depending on applicable law and circumstances:
-
repair;
-
replacement;
-
price reduction;
-
cancellation of the purchase;
-
refund.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory statutory complaint rights.
16. Product suitability
Customers are responsible for checking product information and suitability before purchase.
This includes reviewing relevant:
-
measurements;
-
mounting requirements;
-
materials;
-
product type;
-
available space;
-
intended use.
For products installed on windows, walls, furniture, or other surfaces, you must confirm that the relevant surface is suitable for the installation method.
17. Pet-product safety
MEWSWELL products are intended for appropriate use with pets.
You should inspect products regularly for signs of:
-
wear;
-
damage;
-
loose components;
-
damaged wires;
-
broken cords;
-
weakened suction cups;
-
unstable mounting;
-
detached toy parts.
Discontinue use if a product becomes unsafe.
Products containing feathers, strings, cords, moving parts, wires, small components, elevated surfaces, or similar features may require appropriate supervision.
18. Installation
Products requiring installation should be installed according to the product instructions.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that:
-
mounting surfaces are appropriate;
-
suction surfaces are clean and suitable;
-
dimensions fit the intended area;
-
components are assembled correctly;
-
installations are checked periodically.
Nothing in this provision excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
19. Reviews and user content
Where MEWSWELL allows customers to submit reviews, photographs, comments, or other content, the submitted material must not:
-
be unlawful;
-
infringe another person's rights;
-
contain malicious software;
-
contain knowingly false or misleading statements;
-
contain abusive or discriminatory content;
-
impersonate another person.
We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary.
Submitting content does not transfer ownership of your original content to MEWSWELL, but you grant us the permissions reasonably necessary to display and operate that content through the store, subject to applicable law and platform terms.
20. Customer accounts
If customer accounts are available, you are responsible for keeping your login information confidential.
You must notify us if you reasonably believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
We may suspend or restrict accounts used fraudulently or unlawfully, subject to applicable law.
21. Promotions and discounts
Discount codes, promotions, bundles, and special offers may have specific eligibility criteria or validity periods.
Unless stated otherwise:
-
discount codes cannot necessarily be combined;
-
promotions do not apply retroactively;
-
product availability is not guaranteed;
-
terms may differ between campaigns.
Any mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.
22. Gift cards
If gift cards are offered, additional gift-card conditions may apply.
Gift-card terms will not override mandatory consumer protections.
23. Intellectual property
The MEWSWELL brand, original website copy, graphics, logos, layout, and other original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
You may not reproduce, republish, commercially exploit, distribute, or create unauthorised derivative works from MEWSWELL-owned content except where allowed by law.
Third-party trademarks and content remain the property of their respective owners.
24. Acceptable use of the website
You must not:
-
attempt unauthorised access to our systems;
-
interfere with website operation;
-
introduce viruses or malicious software;
-
scrape the website in a way that disrupts the service;
-
use the website for fraud;
-
impersonate another person;
-
attempt to circumvent security controls;
-
misuse checkout or payment systems.
25. Third-party services
Our store may integrate with third-party services such as:
-
Shopify;
-
payment providers;
-
fulfilment providers;
-
delivery carriers;
-
review platforms;
-
analytics providers;
-
customer-support services.
Third parties may have separate terms and privacy policies.
MEWSWELL is not responsible for independent third-party websites or services we do not control, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
26. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Please review that policy for information about:
-
data collection;
-
payment-related information;
-
cookies;
-
service providers;
-
marketing;
-
data transfers;
-
your privacy rights.
27. Service availability
We aim to keep mewswell.store available and functioning correctly.
However, temporary interruptions may occur because of:
-
maintenance;
-
platform outages;
-
internet failures;
-
security events;
-
updates;
-
circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website.
28. Changes to products or services
We may add, remove, update, or discontinue products and website features.
Changes to future offerings do not remove rights connected to existing orders.
29. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
To the extent permitted by law, MEWSWELL is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was entered into.
This provision does not exclude liability for matters for which liability cannot legally be excluded.
30. Force majeure and events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control, subject to any mandatory rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Such events can include major:
-
transportation disruptions;
-
natural disasters;
-
government actions;
-
customs disruptions;
-
infrastructure failures;
-
carrier interruptions.
We will still comply with mandatory obligations regarding delivery, cancellation, or refunds.
31. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Swedish law.
If you are a consumer living in another country, this choice of law does not remove mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law that applies to your situation.
32. Complaints
If you have a complaint, contact us first so that we have an opportunity to resolve it.
Email:
Please include your order number and a clear explanation of the issue.
33. Dispute resolution
Where applicable, Swedish consumers may be able to have an eligible dispute reviewed by:
Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN)
Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes.
ARN independently reviews disputes between consumers and businesses and issues recommendations on how disputes should be resolved.
Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from using a competent court where permitted.
34. Severability
If a provision in these Terms is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
An invalid provision will not be interpreted in a way that reduces mandatory consumer protections.
35. No waiver
If MEWSWELL does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not automatically mean that the provision has been waived.
36. Updates to these Terms
We may update these Terms when necessary because of changes in:
-
our services;
-
applicable law;
-
payment or fulfilment arrangements;
-
website functionality;
-
business operations.
The version applicable to an order is generally the version made available when that order was placed, subject to mandatory law.
